Happy New Year

| Share

I would like to wish all readers a happy, successful and peaceful 2009.

The year ahead is going to be very challenging in terms of economic activity and finance. At times like these, we should be mindful of the extreme difficulties that many individuals will face.

The goodwill generated by the festive session will need to be translated into meaningful action to help the most vulnerable people as the debt crisis unfolds.

Government, public agencies, charities and individuals all have parts to play, and I look forward to making my own contributions to improving people’s quality of life.

Yours faithfully
