The “Ideas Factory”, where people of any age - especially young people - can come and discuss their business idea or business development plans, has been launched. Stroud Chamber of Commerce and Stroud College are key partners with Costa Coffee and Streetlands, agent for Merrywalks, also providing valuable support.

The Ideas Factory is able to provide experienced mentors in support of young entrepreneurs as they develop their concept and launch into the business world. Established businesses, too, can often benefit from outside expertise. Through Stroud College, training in skills for business can be provided.

Neil Carmichael commented, “I am delighted that my concept for the “Ideas Factory” has been given such strong support from key organisations and, already, we have plenty of aspiring entrepreneurs seeking advice and guidance.
