Salutation Inn wins the CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Dursley and District Award
Neil Carmichael, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Stroud, celebrated the success of the “Salutation Inn”, Ham Green, in winning the CAMRA Dursley and District Award for the best pub. Neil has recently launched a “Save the Local Pub” campaign.
Neil Carmichael commented, “Good pubs are a great advertisement for all pubs. The Salutation Inn is an excellent pub with strong local support. I am delighted that Don and Sue Dunbabin have received the CAMRA award; it is a fitting recognition of their brilliant service.”
Neil added, “Sadly, not all pubs are successful as the fate of the nearby “Salmon Inn” in Wanswell proves. The importance of an effective campaign to support local pubs has never been greater. Pubs are an asset for the community and provide a controlled drinking environment, encouraging sensible consumption of alcohol.”
