Monday, April 12th, 2010 Neil Carmichael launches petition in support of giving cancer patients the drugs they need on the NHS

Neil has met cancer patients who are concerned about access to the drugs they need

Neil Carmichael, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Stroud, launched a petition to give cancer patients the drugs they need on the NHS. Signatures were collected in Stroud, Stonehouse and Dursley.

The next Conservative Government will create a Cancer Drugs Fund worth £200 million and this will mean that cancer patients will get all the drugs they need free on the NHS.

Neil Carmichael commented, “While canvassing, I have met patients who will benefit from this policy. I pledged to them that I would help and the petition is to draw attention to the importance of this commitment. If anybody wishes to add their support, just contact me.”
