Neil Carmichael supports Aden Veterans Association

Friday, March 5th, 2010 Neil Carmichael supports Aden Veterans Association

Neil Carmichael, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Stroud, joined members of the Gloucestershire Branch of the Aden Veterans Association for lunch. Aden – now known as Yemen – has become very topical as it is now a base for some Islamist terrorists.

Neil Carmichael commented, “The Branch works hard on behalf of its members and also other members of the armed forces. Today, the Branch normally has representation in Wootton Bassett for the repatriation of servicemen killed in action in Afghanistan.

“The Branch is also determined for all of those who fought in Aden to be properly recognised by a campaign medal to cover the whole period of post war conflict in Aden. I applaud all the Branch is doing to ensure that veterans are fully recognised and supported.”
