Another success for Dursley Job Club

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009 Another success for Dursley Job Club

Dursley Job Club continues to help people find work

Neil Carmichael, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate, and Councillor Brian Tipper celebrated Melanie Laybourne’s success in securing job in Health and Safety at Biomet UK based in Swindon. This is another triumph for the Job Club.

Neil Carmichael commented, “I am delighted that Melanie has found employment that suits her experience, aspirations and family life. The Job Club has already helped others to find work and continues to meet every fortnight in Dursley Library to help with CVs, interview preparation and networking for employment opportunities.”

Melanie Laybourne commented, “I now have a full-time permanent role as a health and safety officer based in Swindon. I owe this to the CV produced at the Job Club as a foot in the door. The report I had back was that the CV was so good they spent twenty minutes reviewing it. Thank you to everyone for their help and support. The Job Club is a great resource.”

Councillor Brian Tipper commented, “The Job Club was established by Neil Carmichael and now has many experienced people to help with job opportunities. Melanie’s success proves the value of the Club.”

Neil Carmichael concluded, “Now that we have established a Job Club in Stroud, I am confident that we help even more people find employment.”
